Body Play is a special work in the company history. It is an ongoing project which since 2014 has been performed in Germany, Italy, China, South Korea, Morocco, Austria, Brazil.
We are glad to share this unique project at this year CBS SUMMER INTENSIVE edition.
During six intensive days divided in two weekends the participants will have six hours daily program divided in three parts:
– CBS training
– Movement research on the CBS principles used in the creation process of Body Play
– Repertoire Body Play project and preparation of the performance
At the end of the intensive the participants will perform the piece Body Play (free entrance)

The CBS SUMMER INTENSIVE 2024 is addressed to dancers and/or performers who have any kind of movement knowledge, in any style or technique. The only requirement is to have experience with movement and physical training.
We will work with proximity and physical contact as well as blindfolded, so it is important for the participants to be aware of these elements present in the piece.

ABOUT BODY PLAY
BODY PLAY is a dance event in which Chaim Gebber guides the artists on a movement research to celebrate the human body as a moving mechanism. It is the celebration of equality between human beings in a dance improvisation performance.
Body Play deals with the idea of equality between the human race. No skin colour, no religious beliefs, no cultural guidance, no geographic borders, no walls or lines, just the only thing we have for sure in common in our lives the Body and its needs, actions and reactions.
In Body Play the Body and its functional anatomy are used as universal tools of equality allied to dance improvisation as unifying idea of collaboration to create unique moments of body rituals.
By improvising we are placed in the moment, alive and aware of the environment / situation around us and open to re-act by understanding / dealing with ( not judging ) the actions of the others around us. We improvise with what is unique on us, it does not depends on knowing one each other, but more than that on a common understanding.

-320€ early bird price for registration until June 30th
-300€ for professional dancers/performers and for participants who have been already taking part in one or more CBS workshops
